YOGA WITH AMANDA

Amanda Weiss is a private yoga teacher based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since acquiring her 200RYT certification from Yoga Alliance in 2014, Amanda has worked with a multitude of students representing different stages of life and varying levels of experience. Whether you want to improve your flexibility, accelerate recovery after an injury or birth, or simply make a positive lifestyle change, Yoga With Amanda has something to offer you.

MEET AMANDA

I first came to my mat 15 years ago. After experiencing the profound impact of my personal practice, I travelled to Baja, Mexico to complete a teacher training program with Yandara Yoga Institute and obtain my 200RYT certification from Yoga Alliance. For two years, I taught in studios, privately, and for special events in Anchorage, Alaska before migrating back to my hometown of Cincinnati to start a family with my husband, Dave. After giving birth to our son in December 2016, I returned to teaching with a new sense of humility, purpose, and understanding of the power of the human body. 

 

I believe in living a life full of gratitude and free of judgement. These feelings inform and guide my teaching and practice, which is focused on helping my students achieve their personal fitness goals while also building space for the mental and emotional benefits a yoga practice naturally brings. I offer private in-home sessions, workplace group classes, prenatal and postpartum yoga, and special event yoga.

OFFERINGS

I specialize in Vinyasa (continuously moving) and Yin (restorative) styles of yoga. One of the luxuries of private yoga is having the option to blend these styles or to focus on just one. If desired, I offer hands-on adjustments during class and relaxation with essential oils at the conclusion. IN-HOME PRIVATE SESSIONS

Commit to taking time for yourself. With private in-home yoga sessions you no longer have to internalize the guilt of missing class because you're too busy, too tired, too whatever. I'll come to you on a regular basis and guide you through a personalized practice that I adapt to how you are feeling that day, while keeping steady aim on your long-term goals. This is a wonderful option for beginners as well as those seeking to deepen an existing practice. Open to individuals, couples, and small groups.

Yoga Class

WORKPLACE GROUP CLASSES

Promote wellness. Employee wellness programs are shown to decrease sick leave, reduce healthcare costs, and minimize workers' compensations claims. Moreover, at-work yoga classes are a meaningful way for employees to connect with one another while taking the time to calm their nerves and refocus their energies. These classes will move at a moderate pace with an emphasis on strength building and relaxation. Sessions can be offered on a  recurring basis or as one-time events for corporate retreats or team-building programs.

PRENATAL & POSTPARTUM YOGA

Strengthen. Connect. Heal. A pregnant person's body creates an entire universe in just nine months before delivering a new life into the world. Prenatal yoga helps you harness the mental and physical strength required to prepare for and give birth. After birth, your body continues to experience dramatic changes and should be honored and nurtured. Yoga can help to restore strength and elasticity to the muscles and tissues most exhausted during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. During pregnancy and after, the mind is busy and excited. A regular yoga practice allows a mother to stay present for each stage of the journey.
